Infrared cameras create thermal images, which enable us to see if water damage or termite damage has created weakened areas throughout your insulation, walls, or other structural areas. These are signs of damage that would not be perceptible by the naked eye.
• Fiber Optic Scopes – Just as a doctor might use a fiber optic scope to view and assess the internal health of a patient, Heron Home & Outdoor uses fiber optic wall scopes to get a close look at the health of your walls. If our infrared scanners have shown signs that your walls – or any other materials – have been damaged, we can take a closer look with these innovative cameras.
• Moisture Meters – These meters are used to measure the amount of moisture content in the walls, insulation, surrounding plumbing, and around windows, doors, and other entryways. When there are leaks, termites could have caused the leaks, or termites could be drawn to the moisture. Termites need these water sources in order to thrive when living inside your home. If we can locate and address these high moisture areas, we can work toward making your structure uninhabitable for termites.
