Bites from these vicious villains can cause itchy, white pustules to form on the skin that can last for several days.  Unfortunately for their victims, fire ant stings usually involve more than one ant, possibly dozens or hundreds!!!

Fire ants grasp onto skin with their man strength mandibles, anchoring themselves to better insert their stingers.  Look out for fire ants hiding in your lawns, driveways, flower pots and shrub beds.  Stay clear of stepping on fire ant mounds which can spread the colony in the lawn and infuriate its members.
